Inergi CSO Local members voted unanimously to ratify their new collective agreement.

At the close of voting on May 25, 50 of 54 members voted with all 50 voters approving the agreement.

The two-year agreement includes pay increases of 1.75% in the first year and 1.5% in the second year. Pension contributions will rise by .75% in each year.

“It was a challenging round,” said Inergi CSO Local Vice President Tracy Miller. “The employer had a lot of pressure to seek concessions and it made it difficult to meet the mandate of our members.”

“But for the first time in 14 years, I feel like there was nothing left on the table when we settled.”

Among the Local’s biggest non-monetary accomplishments were gaining language in the Master Service Agreement to prevent offshoring of their work, and stopping management’s efforts to increase the workweek from 37.5 to 40 hours.

“I’m really humbled by the support of the membership. The bargaining team and membership were solid all the way through. That’s the only reason we were able to do as well as we did,” concluded Miller.
