Labour Day 2014 is just around the corner!  This is a great time for Society members to come out and celebrate our successes this year and reflect on all the work left to do to build strong, fairer communities.  Here is a list of Labour Day events Society members will attend.  Please register to attend with Laura Langmaid.

DURHAM REGION LABOUR DAY BBQ

Time:    11:00 am to 3:00 pm

Where: Memorial Park (corner of Simcoe St. and John St.), Oshawa

HAMILTON LABOUR DAY PARADE/PICNIC

Time:    10:30 am

Where: York Street – Picnic in Dundurn Park corner of Queen and York streets – Parade (members need to be at this corner by 10 am to receive their shirt)

LONDON LABOUR DAY PICNIC/BBQ

Time:    12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Where: Thames Park (off Ridout just south of Horton St.)

PORT ELGIN LABOUR DAY PARADE

Time:    9:30 am

Where: Meet at Home Hardware (parking lot) north end of Port Elgin on Hwy 21

SUDBURY LABOUR DAY FAMILY FUN FEST – Free BBQ and Music!

Time:    10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Where: Bell Park Paris Street

TORONTO LABOUR DAY PARADE

Time:    8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Where: East side of University Ave. North from Queen St. to Armoury

There will be free entrance to the CNE after the parade  (The wristbands that provide entrance to the CNE will be given out to the marchers along the parade  route part-way through the parade.)

The Society’s parade theme this year is:  Forging solidarity for a better city.
