SEP is holding training sessions for members who want to learn how to lobby their political representatives.

“Persuading politicians to support SEP members’ issues is key to winning at the bargaining table,” said SEP President Scott Travers. “Government is having a bigger influence than management on big issues like pensions, wages and privatization. We need members ready and able to talk to their local representatives about why they should support fair working conditions and good public policy.”

SEP will provide dinner to all attendees and, if you require childcare, SEP will reimburse all reasonable childcare expenses. If you are unable to attend either of these sessions, the union is planning two more for Pickering and Bruce County in the near future.
