Hundreds of Society members participated in Labour Day events across Ontario on September 3, including in Toronto, Hamilton and Port Elgin.

In Toronto, more than 100 members marched with thousands of their sisters and brothers. While the Toronto parade traditionally finishes at the Canadian National Exhibition, this year’s parade route was changed to support locked out IATSE Local 58 members who work at Exhibition Place. Instead of the CNE, members and their families went to nearby Lamport Stadium where the Toronto and York Region Labour Council held a carnival with activities for people of all ages.
