A five-person delegation attended the Canadian Labour Congress’s Summer School, an opportunity to learn new skills that improve The Society’s ability to represent its members.

Education Officer Mary Byberg joined elected representatives Mike Gade, Shirley Hayes, Jeff Cronin and Dave Romanowicz at the week-long training in Port Elgin. They received training in arbitration advocacy, facing management effectively, community advocacy, pension administration, using modern communication tools, and reaching out to the next generation.

All five attendees brought home new knowledge and skills to share with their colleagues and Society members.
